The Personal Artist Brand Development Toolkit is a toolkit for artists who want to define who they are, where they are going and how they plan to communicate both in their own unique brand. The complete toolkit consists of 5 tools.
You will begin your creating a well-defined vision. Your artist vision includes your practice or medium (i.e. violin, acting, painting, graphic design), what you seek to create artistically and what you hope to achieve through your artistic body of work and the people who you would like to experience your work. Your artist vision also includes the impact that you would like to have on the community that experiences it.
Our personal vision is often intimately connected to our personal background. Artists explore their personal history, experiences and defining moments from their past. The outcome is a story that explains how they got to the present moment.
How we respond to our personal experience, how we approach our work, and our vision for the future, are a reflection of our values. In this part of the course artists define their values.
The artist brand is the artist signature. It is the essence of who you are. Drawing from the vision, story, values and mission, artists will define their personal brand.
The artist identity and personal brand offers the artist a clear understanding of themselves by equipping them with the tools to give the world an understanding of who they are. In the final step of the course artists will create a communication plan to determine where, when and how to communicate who they are to the world.
